Andrew Drury - Managing Director |
Andrew is a qualified project manager and is a highly regarded and experienced senior housing association practitioner, who has worked very successfully in the sector for over twenty-five years. He worked in housing association development, maintenance and housing management at a senior level before establishing his own consultancy, HATC Ltd, in 1994. Andrew has authored several national publications, has been an active Board member of four housing associations, most recently chairing the Audit & Performance Review Committee. He was a Housing Corporation GOLD Expert Panel Member for the GOLD Award 2008, on the theme of Joined Up Development. Andrew continues to provide Executive Director-level interim management services, training and to lead on many research and policy projects as well as managing complex schemes. |
Dai Howells - Senior Consultant |
Dai is an experienced Head of Development, having worked in housing association development teams since 1983. As a qualified town planner, Dai has worked with Harvest Housing Group, Unity Housing Association and Firebird JVC. He joined HATC in August 2008. His main strengths are managing affordable housing projects, programmes and departments, covering regeneration, mixed use development as well as all tenures. Dai is based in Yorkshire but works nationally. |
Jane Fulford - Consultant |
Jane has 8 years experience in setting up and delivering affordable housing schemes, in both urban and rural settings. She also undertakes research and policy work. Jane is based in Yorkshire but works nationally. |
Eleanor Somers - Trainee Consultant |
Eleanor has recently joined HATC as a Graduate Trainee. Eleanor has a good overview of affordable housing property development, the planning system, conveyancing, construction and valuation. She has undertaken research on private sector space standards for HATC, on behalf of English Partnerships. Eleanor holds the Introductory Certificate in Project Management from the APM (Association for Project Management, the main UK body for the profession ). |
Lesley Johnson - Associate |
Lesley has worked for over 15 years on housing association regeneration, development and resident involvement initiatives and is a CABE Enabler and accredited Building for Life Assessor. Lesley has project managed large neighbourhood renewal and estate transfer projects across London and provided interim management services for the Development Director position in a London HA. Lesley and her partner have their own consultancy – Johnson Pancucci – specialising in communications. |
Richard Broomfield - Associate |
Richard has worked in the property field for some 20 years and has wide experience in affordable housing development and procurement, project management and problem solving, having operated successfully at Director level at Bedfordshire Pilgrims HA and United Kingdom Housing Trust. Richard authored the NHF’s Delivering Affordable Housing – the NHF’s Development Guide. Andrew and Richard co-authored Online Project Management Procedures, the only Windows-based good-practice procedure guide written specifically for HAs that is available. Richard has his own consultancy, Portfolio Consultancy. |
Jeff Hanna - Associate |
Jeff has over 20 years of experience in local government housing in all the non-landlord functions of housing needs, development enabling and housing strategy. Before joining HATC he was Housing Strategy & Regeneration Manager at Reading Borough Council, responsible for developing and implementing the LHS and the housing elements of the LAA, the founding and chairing of the sub-regional housing strategy group, as well as leading the Council negotiations on S106 planning policies and Agreements &led the delivery of the Councils new homes programme. Jeff can also offer support in delivering projects, whether regeneration or new schemes. |
