Andrew Drury, Managing Director
Andrew is a highly regarded and experienced property development and management practitioner, who has worked very successfully in the affordable housing sector for over twenty five years, delivering affordable housing developments and regeneration schemes since 1983, from Admin Officer to Group Development Director for a major regional HA. In 1994 Andrew established the consultancy HA Training & Consultancy that incorporated as HATC Ltd in 2003. He is a member of the Association for Project Management.
Andrew provides high-level services, including senior level interim management; strategy and policy advice; process reviews and maps; staff professional development and recruitment; other support in delivering affordable housing projects and programmes. He has also authored many publications providing guidance on affordable housing Development. He has literally written the book on issues such as HCA compliance, design guides, Building for Life, and Development Procedures
Andrew has been an active Board member of four housing associations, most recently with an LSVT HA in Yorkshire, chairing the Audit & Performance Review Committee and the Partnering Working group.
Lesley Johnson, Associate
Lesley has worked for many years on housing association regeneration, development and resident involvement initiatives. Lesley has project managed large neighbourhood renewal and estate transfer projects across London and provided interim management services for the Development Director position in a London HA. Lesley and her partner have their own consultancy – Johnson Pancucci – specialising in communications.
Jonathan Smart, Associate
Jonathan is an experienced research assistant who has a first-class honours degree in Architectural Technology and has since researched dwelling sizes and standards for the GLA and the variation in internal space between units in different schemes, focusing on kitchen, dining, WC, utility and bathroom areas for ‘Innovation Chain North-West’. His skills include expertise in CAD and being highly competent in database design and interrogation. His attitudes include enthusiasm and thoughtfulness as well as attention to detail and a drive to deliver high-quality results. Now branching out into Development schemes, Jonathan holds the APM’s Introductory Certificate in Project Management.
Amanda Somers-Drury, Director
Amanda has been the Office & Accounts Manager since the practice was established, providing administrative support on HATC projects whilst maintaining business operations.
Julia Somers, Research & Admin Assistant
Julia is a part-time research assistant who also provides administrative support as required.
